Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Kabul Jan. They cover who may use the platform, what you may post, how paid features work, and when an account can be closed. Please read them — using Kabul Jan means you accept them.

1. Accepting these terms
Kabul Jan LLC ("Kabul Jan", "we", "us") is a limited liability company registered in the State of California, United States. It operates the Kabul Jan website and mobile application at kabuljan.app. By creating an account, or by using the platform at all, you agree to these Terms.
Two other documents form part of this agreement and carry the same weight:
- the Community Guidelines, which set out what is and is not allowed, how money and fees work, and the licence you grant over your content; and
- the Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.
Where these Terms and one of those documents overlap, read them together. If they genuinely conflict, these Terms govern — except on fees and content licensing, where the Community Guidelines are authoritative, because that is where those terms are maintained.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Kabul Jan.
2. Who may use Kabul Jan
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or older if the law where you live requires it. Kabul Jan includes features where members may speak to each other without showing their identity, and the app is rated 18+ for that reason. See Privacy Policy §11.
You may not use Kabul Jan if we have previously closed your account for breaking these Terms or the Community Guidelines, unless we agree in writing that you may return.
You must not use Kabul Jan where doing so would break the law that applies to you.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
- Your account is yours alone. Do not share it, sell it, or transfer it to someone else.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account, unless someone gained access through a failure on our side.
- Tell us at support@kabuljan.app if you think your account has been compromised.
- One person, one account, unless we have agreed otherwise.
4. Conduct and objectionable content
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Kabul Jan. Content that breaches the Community Guidelines is removed, and accounts that post it are suspended or permanently closed. We do not require repeated offences before acting, and for the most serious categories a single post is enough.
The categories that will cost you your account are listed in Community Guidelines §2, and include sexual content involving minors, terrorist content, credible threats of violence, incitement to hatred, non-consensual intimate imagery, fraud, and the sale of weapons, drugs or human beings. Child sexual abuse material is reported to the authorities without exception.
You also agree not to:
- harass, bully, impersonate, stalk or threaten another member;
- post someone else's private information, or content you have no right to post;
- use bots, scrapers or automation to post, follow, like or collect data from the platform;
- attempt to breach, probe or overload our systems, or another member's account;
- interfere with moderation, or evade a suspension by creating another account;
- use Kabul Jan to advertise or sell anything prohibited by the Community Guidelines.
Reporting and blocking. Every post, comment, direct or group message, profile and Round Table participant can be reported, and any member can be blocked, from within the app — see Community Guidelines §3. We aim to review reports of objectionable content and act on them, including removing the content and ejecting the member who posted it, within 24 hours.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post. The licence you grant us so that we can display it — and when that licence ends — is set out in full in Community Guidelines §10, which forms part of these Terms. We have deliberately kept that wording in one place rather than restating it here.
You are responsible for what you post. By posting, you confirm you have the rights to it and that it does not break these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law.
We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the Community Guidelines. We are not obliged to store your content or to return it to you, and you should keep your own copies of anything you would not want to lose.
6. Kabul Jan Plus and paid features
Kabul Jan Plus is an optional paid subscription. Kabul Jan itself is free to use; Plus unlocks applying for verification, earning from subscribers, and receiving gifts.
| Item | Terms |
|---|---|
| Name | Kabul Jan Plus |
| Price | US$6.99 per month |
| Billing period | Monthly |
| Renewal | Renews automatically each month until you cancel |
| How to cancel | In the app, from Settings — at any time |
| Payment processor | Stripe |
Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at US$6.99 per month, and keeps renewing until you cancel it. Cancelling stops future payments; it does not refund payments already taken, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds. We do not refund partial subscription periods. The verification review fee of US$2.99 is one-time and non-refundable, whether or not your application is approved — this is a fee for the review itself, not for a guaranteed outcome.
If you delete your account while a subscription is active, it is cancelled when the account is permanently deleted at the end of the 30-day grace period — not at the moment you request deletion. If you want billing to stop immediately, cancel Plus yourself first. See Privacy Policy §10.
Price changes. If we change the price of Plus, we will publish it with a new version and date and give you notice before it applies to your renewal. You can cancel if you do not want to continue at the new price.
7. Payments, wallet credit and payouts
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe's own terms.
The platform's fees — the Plus price, the verification fee, and the commission taken on gifts, creator subscriptions, Bazaar sales and event tickets — are published in full in Community Guidelines §8. That table is the authoritative statement of our fees, and forms part of these Terms.
Wallet credit
Your wallet holds credit that you use inside Kabul Jan, for example to send gifts. Credit is shown in coins, where 100 coins equal US$1.00 of value inside Kabul Jan. Where buying credit is offered, it is sold through Stripe in packs. A pack's price is the value of its coins plus the card processing fee; Kabul Jan adds nothing on top. The coins and the price of each pack are shown before you pay. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
- Credit can be spent only on Kabul Jan. It has no cash value, and it cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for money, or transferred to another account.
- Credit does not expire while your account exists.
- Purchases of credit are final and are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund or we made a mistake.
- If a payment for credit is reversed, refunded or disputed with your bank, we remove that amount of credit from your wallet. If it has already been spent, your balance may go below zero until the amount is covered.
- Unused credit is lost when your account is permanently deleted, so spend it first.
- Credit is not a deposit or a bank account and does not earn interest.
Credit you buy is separate from earnings you receive from other members. Only earnings can be paid out.
Payouts
Payouts are paused at the moment while we move them to Stripe. Your earnings stay in your account in the meantime and are not lost. When payouts open again:
- you will request them from Settings, and they will be paid through Stripe to a bank account in your name, in the countries Stripe supports;
- the minimum payout is US$25;
- earnings can be paid out 7 days after you receive them;
- the platform commission has already been taken when you receive earnings, so nothing more is deducted at payout. Stripe or your bank may charge their own fees.
You are responsible for giving correct payout details, and for any tax you owe on what you earn through Kabul Jan. We may ask for tax information before paying you.
We may withhold a payout while we investigate a suspected breach of these Terms, fraud, or a chargeback, and we may refuse it where the earnings arose from activity that breached these Terms.
8. Bazaar, events and gifts
Bazaar and events are between members. When you buy something in the Bazaar or buy a ticket to an event, the contract is between you and the seller or organiser. Kabul Jan provides the platform and takes a commission; we are not the seller, and we are not a party to that contract.
Sellers and organisers must describe what they are offering honestly, deliver it, and comply with the law that applies to them. Buyers should use judgement — including about meeting in person for pickup, which you do at your own risk.
Gifts are voluntary. A gift sent to a creator is not a purchase of goods or services, is not refundable, and does not entitle you to anything in return. Commission is taken as set out in the Community Guidelines fee table.
Report a dispute to support@kabuljan.app. We will help where we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee an outcome between two members.
9. Verification
Verification is optional and requires Kabul Jan Plus. It involves sending identity documents, which are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and deleted after a decision is made. The US$2.99 review fee is non-refundable. We may decline verification, and may withdraw it if we later find it was obtained with false information.
10. Suspension and termination
We may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or close an account permanently where we reasonably believe these Terms or the Community Guidelines have been broken — immediately and without notice where the breach is serious, or where notice would risk harm to someone.
If your account is closed for a breach, you lose access to the account and anything in it, including unpaid earnings arising from the activity that caused the closure.
Appeals. If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal — see Community Guidelines §5.
11. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. You will be asked for your password to confirm.
There is a 30-day grace period: your profile and content are hidden from everyone else immediately, but nothing is destroyed, and signing back in within 30 days restores the account exactly as it was. After 30 days it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. The full description of what is destroyed is in Privacy Policy §10.
Sections that by their nature should survive — including content licensing for copies already distributed, fees already incurred, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity — continue to apply after your account closes.
12. Availability of the service
We do our best to keep Kabul Jan running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and may stop offering the service altogether. Where we are withdrawing something significant and it is reasonable to do so, we will give notice.
13. Disclaimers
Kabul Jan is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not endorse and are not responsible for content posted by members, and we do not guarantee that content on the platform is accurate, lawful, or safe. Live audio rooms, videos, marketplace listings and events are created by members, not by us.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kabul Jan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or content, arising out of your use of the platform.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims arising in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period, or US$100.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Kabul Jan against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your use of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence.
16. Apple App Store terms
These terms apply where you obtained the Kabul Jan application from the Apple App Store, and are in addition to the rest of these Terms.
- These Terms are between you and Kabul Jan only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the application or its content.
- Your licence to use the application is a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Kabul Jan alone is responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide either. Contact us at support@kabuljan.app.
- If the application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the application, if any. The Kabul Jan application is free to download. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever. Kabul Jan Plus and all other paid features are purchased from Kabul Jan and processed by Stripe, not by Apple, and Apple has no responsibility for them.
- Kabul Jan, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the application, including product liability claims, any claim that the application fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law.
- Kabul Jan, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging any third-party claim that the application infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the application.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
17. Governing law and disputes
Kabul Jan is operated by Kabul Jan LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of California, United States.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Kabul Jan, are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Talk to us first
Most problems are quicker to fix by asking. Before starting formal proceedings, please email support@kabuljan.app describing the issue and what you would like done about it. We will try to resolve it with you within 30 days. This is a request, not a condition — it does not stop you exercising any legal right.
Where disputes are heard
Subject to the paragraph below, you and Kabul Jan agree that the state and federal courts located in California will hear any dispute, and each of us consents to their jurisdiction. Either of us may still ask any court for an injunction to protect intellectual property or to stop misuse of the platform.
If you live outside the United States, this does not take away your local rights. Kabul Jan is used across roughly a hundred countries, and consumer law in many of them — including the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — gives you protections that a contract cannot remove. Nothing in these Terms overrides those. In particular, if you are a consumer, you keep any right you have to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and to rely on the mandatory consumer law of that country.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page with a new version number and date. Where a change materially reduces your rights, we will give reasonable notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kabul Jan after that means you accept the updated Terms.
