Community Guidelines
Kabul Jan is a table with a seat for every Afghan — at home and across the diaspora. These guidelines set out what is expected of everyone here, what is not allowed, what happens when someone breaks the rules, and exactly how money works on the platform. By using Kabul Jan you agree to follow them.
1. The rules
2. Never allowed
The following will be removed on sight and will usually cost you your account:
- Sexual content involving minors, or any sexualisation of children — this is reported to the authorities without exception.
- Terrorist content, or promotion of, or recruitment for, violent organisations.
- Credible threats of violence against a person or group.
- Incitement to hatred or violence on the basis of ethnicity, religion, gender or region.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or the sharing of someone's private information to harm them.
- Fraud, scams, counterfeit goods, or the sale of weapons, drugs, or human beings.
- Spam, mass automated posting, or manipulation of likes, follows or views.
- Malware, phishing links, or attempts to compromise other members' accounts.
3. Reporting and blocking
A Report action sits on everything another member can put in front of you:
- Posts — the flag icon on the post.
- Comments — the flag icon beside the comment.
- Direct and group messages — press and hold the message, then tap the flag.
- Profiles — More options on the profile.
- Round Table participants — tap their seat in the live room.
- Anonymous chats — Report & block inside the chat.
Every profile can also be blocked. Blocking prevents someone from contacting you or interacting with your content. You can remove anything you posted yourself at any time, which takes it out of the feed immediately — Post options → Delete post for a post, or the bin icon beside your own comment to delete that comment. A page's owner can also delete any comment left on their page's posts.
Reports go to Kabul Jan administrators and are reviewed; we aim to act within 24 hours, removing objectionable content and ejecting the member who posted it. You can also use Report a problem or abuse in Settings, or email support@kabuljan.app, to raise anything else.
4. Enforcement
Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may:
- remove the content;
- issue a warning;
- restrict features such as posting, selling, or hosting live rooms;
- block the account temporarily;
- remove the account permanently.
Serious breaches — content involving children, terrorism, or credible threats — skip straight to permanent removal.
5. Appeals
If you believe a decision was wrong, contact support@kabuljan.app with your account name and what happened. We will review it and reply.
6. Verification
Verification is optional. It requires your legal name, a photograph of your national identity document (Tazkira) or passport, and a live selfie, together with a one-time review fee of US$2.99, which is non-refundable and covers the cost of review. Your documents are seen only by an administrator and are permanently deleted once a decision is made. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Leaving Kabul Jan
You can delete your account whenever you want, from Settings → Delete my account. We ask for your password first, so nobody else can do it for you.
You get 30 days to change your mind. As soon as you confirm, your profile, posts, comments, Bazaar listings and events are hidden from everyone — as far as the community is concerned, you have left. But nothing is deleted yet. Sign in again at any point in those 30 days and you can reactivate your account; everything comes back exactly as you left it.
After 30 days it is gone for good. Your account and everything on it — posts, comments, messages, photographs, videos and voice recordings — is permanently removed from our servers. We cannot bring it back afterwards, and neither can you, so please be sure before the 30 days run out.
Deleting your account does not cancel obligations you already have: complete any Bazaar sales you have agreed and any events you are hosting before you go, and request any earnings you are owed, since a deleted account cannot be paid out.
8. How money works
We believe fees should be stated plainly rather than buried. These are the platform's current terms.
| What | Cost | Who gets the rest |
|---|---|---|
| Kabul Jan Plus | US$6.99 per month | — |
| Verification review | US$2.99 one-time, non-refundable | — |
| Buying coins | The coins' value plus the card processing fee; Kabul Jan adds nothing | — |
| Gifts, while a creator has received under US$100 this month | Kabul Jan keeps 20% | 80% to the creator |
| Gifts, from US$100 to US$1,000 received this month | Kabul Jan keeps 30% | 70% to the creator |
| Gifts, from US$1,000 received this month | Kabul Jan keeps 35% | 65% to the creator |
| Creator subscriptions | Kabul Jan keeps 20% | 80% to the creator |
| Bazaar sales | Kabul Jan keeps 5% | 95% to the seller |
| Event tickets | Kabul Jan keeps 25% | 75% to the organiser |
How gift commission works. Fans pay only for their coins and the card fee. Kabul Jan's share is taken when a creator receives a gift, at the rate for the gifts that creator has already received in the current calendar month (UTC), counting gifts on posts, in lives and in battles. Each gift is charged at the rate in effect when it arrives, and every creator starts the month at 20% again. 100 coins are worth US$1.
Kabul Jan Plus unlocks applying for verification, earning from subscribers, and receiving gifts. Hosting Round Tables and posting VoiceCast are free for everyone. Plus that has been gifted to you activates only after you verify your identity.
Payouts. Payouts are paused at the moment while we move them to Stripe. Your earnings are kept safe in your account. When payouts open, you will request them from Settings, with a US$25 minimum, and they will be paid through Stripe to a bank account in your name. Wallet credit you buy is for spending on Kabul Jan and cannot be paid out. See Terms of Use §7.
Fees may change. Material changes will be published on this page with a new version and date.
9. Copyright and intellectual property
Post only what you have the right to post. Do not upload music, video, images, or text belonging to someone else without permission.
If you believe content on Kabul Jan infringes your copyright or trade mark, email support@kabuljan.app with:
- identification of the work you say is infringed;
- a link to the content in question;
- your name, address and contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We remove infringing content promptly and repeat infringers lose their accounts.

10. Your content and our licence
You keep ownership of everything you post. To be able to show it, we need your permission to use it: by posting to Kabul Jan you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in backups for a limited period or where we are required by law to keep them.
